Dressage Lessons and Schooling Horse Shows in St. George, UT

πŸŽπŸ΄ On Saturday, April 13th, 2024, The Ranchette Veley Equestrian Center (located 25 minutes from St. George, UT) hosted a schooling show for its students, featuring dressage and pattern classes. It was a great day. Special thanks to Judge Narkiewicz and photographer and test reader Jennifer McBee as well as other volunteers who helped the day run smoothly. I'm proud of how well everyone rode.

This month of April 2024 is an anniversary of sorts for me, barn owner Gail Veley, who, after being in a non-horse accident in March of 2022, proceeded to have two major surgeries that same year, one in May and one in October. After essentially not riding much (except a handful of times at the walk) for an entire year, last April of 2023 I joined our first schooling show of the year and rode my 24-year-old thoroughbred in a dressage test. It was my "I'm back" statement! Now, a year later, I rode again in our first show of the year on my newest lesson horse, Rooster. It was a wonderful way to celebrate a year back in the saddle feeling like my old self again. I thank my horses and my students for giving me the energy and the inspiration. Thank you!!    πŸŽπŸ΄
